Bzzzzzzzzzz........If you like to plan ahead for Fall semester, please be aware that we start instruction with Unit 1-the Perioperative Section (Ch. 18, 19, & 20), and NOT with the first chapter in your Lewis' Med-Surg textbook.

SCC Students: Don't forget to turn in the flash (jump)-drives to Ellen that you got through the Nursing Student Grant monies. Please be sure to erase all data before you turn it in.

Pinning Info

Remember that pinning practice is at 10:30 on Monday July 28th at SCC, Balsam Building, Auditorium. Also, plan to arrive at 4:30 on the day of pinning (Aug. 1st). The photographer is coming at 5:15 for group pictures (free for downloading!). There is a large nursing classroom for you to use to dress and primp prior to the pictures. Please be on time!

Pick-Up for Pinning Invitations

Contact Persons for the Pinning Invitations are as follows: HCC students should pick up their Pinning Invitations from Cindy Leatherwood, HCC-RANC Secretary. SCC students should get theirs from Ellen Heim, SCC-RANC Nursing Instructor (or via Lisa Crawford, SCC HS Secretary). Pinning Committee Representative Lacy Webster has the TCCC students' invitations for distribution. Please get them ASAP or let your contact person know if you are not planning to use them so that others may use them as needed. CONGRATULATIONS & THANK YOU!! :)

NUR 185 Fall Meeting

Nur 185 will meet the first day of fall semester, Monday, Aug. 18th at 10:00 a.m. at the High Tech Center auditorium. BB will be available at 0800 so please print off your course documents prior to class (Syllabus, Clinical Course Document, clinical schedule, Objectives, course calender) and bring these to the class meeting along with your Virtual Clinical Excursion (VCE) software packet. We will review this material and introduce you to the VCE software assignments. Donna Alexander

NUR 135 Fall 2008 for HCC Students

The release of the NUR 135 schedule for HCC students for the Fall 2008 has the wrong times. The correct times are as follows for NUR 135 at HCC for Fall 2008... Monday is a class day from 1000-1200 and from 1300-1600..we will have lunch from 1200-1300 Tuesday is a clinical day from 0630-1530 Wednesday is a lab day from 1000-1250 Sorry for the confusion

CPR, PPD & Immunization Updates

Reminder to current students: Please update your CPR & PPD as well as any immunizations that you may need. Check with your advisors if you are unsure of your renewal dates. Also remember to purchase your Student Accident Policy and Malpractice Insurances when you pay your Fall tuition at your home campus. Your picture ID badge may also be expired, so check that out too, while you're there! Keep cheering!!!! B-E-A-N-U-R-S-E!! :)
